Corporate crises are filling the news these days: BP, Toyota, even the Pope and the President have been criticized for their poor responses to corporate crises. When a crisis strikes is not the time to start figuring out how to communicate your way out of the tailspin. By the very nature of our business, architects, engineers and contractors face huge liabilities if our buildings should fail. How will you communicate with your clients, your consultants, the media in the event of a corporate crisis? “No comment,” is not the answer. You only have a few minutes to hours to get it right from the start. This meeting will help you identify the key components of a crisis communications program that can help you successfully navigate your way through a crisis.

Speaker:
Gregg Shields, Crisis Communications Consultant, has consulted with clients including the Boy Scouts of America, General Tire, University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, and CED Entertainment, among others. Prior to starting his own consulting firm, Gregg directed the crisis communications practice at Edelman Public Relations’ office in Dallas from 1996 to 2008. Check out Gregg’s blog http://setupyourshields.blogspot.com/ for comments on some of today’s biggest crisis communications newsmakers – BP, Toyota, and more.

Registration starts at 11:30, program begins at NOON.
